The resources provided below offer ways to find strength through community and connections.  You are welcome to call or email us if you prefer that we send you a list of resources that are more specific to your or your family’s needs. 

Alive Alone 
An organization for educational and charitable purposes, to benefit bereaved parents whose only child or all children are deceased by providing a self-help network and publications to promote communication and healing.  
Bereaved Parents of the USA 
Bereaved Parents of the USA (BPUSA) is a national non-profit self-help group that offers support, understanding, compassion and hope to bereaved parents, grandparents or siblings.
Brighter Days Family Grief Center
Brighter Days offers a Mourning Companion program to support bereaved parents and grandparents through emotional, logistical, and psychosocial support.
Children’s Minnesota Bereavement Services 
Children’s Minnesota Bereavement Services offers free support, education and referrals for families after they experience the death of their child. Free childcare is provided during support sessions. 
Faith’s Lodge 
Faith’s Lodge supports parents and families coping with the death or medically complex condition of a child in a peaceful environment to reflect on the past, renew strength for the present, and build hope for the future. 
Hope for the Mourning 
Hope for the Mourning provides Biblical support and encouragement to parents grieving the death of an infant or young child, regardless of the religious background of the parents. 
Iris (Infants Remembered in Silence) 
Infants Remembered In Silence, Inc (IRIS), a non-profit organization, supplements the care given by the medical, mental health, and religious communities by providing resources and referral information, support and education to parents, family, friends, and professionals after a child dies in early pregnancy (ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, miscarriage, etc) or from stillbirth, neo-natal death, birth defects, illness, accident, sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), sudden unexplained death of a child (SUDC), and all other types of infants and early childhood death.  
M.E.N.D. 
M.E.N.D. (Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death) is a Christian, non-profit organization that reaches out to families who have suffered the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant death. 
MISS Foundation 
The MISS Foundation provides Family Support Packets, which are sent by email, with books, brochures, and other support information for bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings. Online support is also available. 
Missing Grace 
Missing GRACE Foundation’s mission is to provide support, resources and education for families and professional care providers when there is loss of a baby, infertility or adoption challenges. 
One Bright Star 
One Bright Star is a resource for grieving families who have lost a child to death. 
Pregnancy & Postpartum Support Minnesota 
A group of mental health & perinatal practitioners, service organizations, and mother volunteers who provide services to those struggling with a pregnancy, loss, or postpartum mood disorder through the Helpline, professional training, resource list and website. 
Recovering u 
Designed for family members and loved ones who know a person who has died from addiction-related causes, this grief support differs from general grief support because the focus is specific to the traumatic loss and the stigma that often surrounds an addiction-related death.  
Smile Again Ministries 
A Minnesota faith-based retreat center for parents, grandparents, and families who have experienced the death of a child; home-made meals, counseling, and time to regain strength.  
Star Legacy Foundation 
The mission of Star Legacy Foundation is to increase awareness, support research, promote education, and encourage advocacy and family support regarding stillbirth, pregnancy loss, and neonatal death. 
SUDC Foundation 
The SUDC Foundation is dedicated to increasing the awareness of sudden unexpected deaths in childhood, and funding crucial research to better understand and prevent these tragedies. We are the only organization worldwide devoted solely to the needs of families and professionals touched by unexpected/unexplained deaths of children.  
The Compassionate Friends 
The Compassionate Friends organization offers emotional support to parents (and anyone in a guardianship role), grandparents, and adult siblings grieving the death of a precious child of any age, and from any cause. The Compassionate Friends has several Minnesota Chapters including the Minneapolis Chapter that meets in New Hope. 
Unfinished By Design 
Offers a compassionate grief support series for bereaved parents in the Hastings and surrounding areas while also providing events and workshops for all bereaved individuals. 

Financial Support

Through our Embrace-A-Family program, we help provide grocery cards, pre-made meals, and many other forms of personalized financial assistance. To qualify, you must have dependents or have a family member enrolled in hospice.

Logistical Support

We offer assistance for the overwhelming logistics like memorializing social media accounts, filing for social security benefits or addressing probate and financial concerns.

Psychosocial Support

We offer several types of groups, events, and wellness workshops to connect you to other adults who understand. 

Parent/Caregiver Education

We can help guide you on ways to support your grieving children, ages 4-24, through our in-person and virtual adult education programs.

Family Grief Support Series

If you have children ages 4-24, consider participating in our weekly family grief support series, held up to 5 times per year.

Family Camps/Retreats

Whether through our youth and young adult camps and retreats, or through our partners, we can provide access to these family friendly opportunities.
